Menopause is a natural biological process; the permanent end of menstruation and fertility. It is defined as occurring 12 months after your last menstrual period.

Menopause is not a medical illness. Even so, the physical and emotional symptoms of menopause can disrupt your sleep, reduce your energy, be the cause of uncontrollable feelings like sadness and loss and reduce your long term health and appearance.

Hormonal changes, principally a reduction in oestrogen, cause the physical symptoms of menopause; mistaken beliefs about the menopausal transition are partly to blame for the emotional ones.

It is important to realise that the menopause does not mean the end of your life is close; you've still got as much as half your life to go. Secondly, menopause does not take away your sexuality and femininity.

  1. Will FX menopause stop me having hot flushes?

    FX menopause helps most women. By adding FX menopause to your existing diet you add extra phytoestrogens. By increasing your intake of phytoestrogens you may reduce the causes of flushing and night sweats.   2. What is in FX menopause?

    FX menopause is a proprietary extract of phytoestrogen from Mung beans. Mung beans have been a part of Asian cuisine for thousands of years. When sprouted they are usually just called bean sprouts.

  3. Is it safe?

    Yes. Not withstanding FX menopause being an extract from a conventional food. The supplement has been tested to confirm that it is non-toxic when consumed in high volume and over an extended period of time. These medical grade tests confirm that FX menopause is safe to use throughout the menopause years and during post menopause.

  4. Does it work and how quickly will it work?

    How quickly depends on you and your body; individual results may vary. Given that you use the correct intake for your stage of the menopause and don’t forget to take any capsules, your wellbeing should start showing noticeable signs of improvement within 4 weeks. The average delay between adding FX menopause to your diet and seeing the benefits is the same as what you would experience with HRT or any other effective therapy.   5. Tell me more about phytoestrogen?

    Phytoestrogen are sterol molecules found naturally in many fruits, vegetables and seeds (over 1000 known). We all consume phytoestrogen, often daily, and these are readily used throughout our bodies. During the menopause years and beyond, when the level of oestrogens that we produce falls, proactively supplementing with phytoestrogen can significantly enhance wellbeing, offering the same “feel good, look good” factor enjoyed by many Asian women.   6. Is it Soy?

    No. There are several categories of phytoestrogen; Soy, garbanzo beans and other legumes, which are most often consumed in products like tempeh, soy, miso and tofu, are a particularly good source of isoflavones. Lignins are a constituent of the cell wall of plants with the highest amounts found in the husk of seeds used to produce oils, especially flaxseed. Coumestans, another category of Phytoestrogen, which are between 30 and 100 times more potent than isoflavones, can be found in high concentration in sunflower seeds and bean sprouts.

[1] The summary results displayed here comprise data gathered via 3 measuring scales, a RAND36 questionnaire, a Menopause Rating Scale (MRS) questionnaire and a Pittsburgh Insomnia Rating Scale questionnaire. The total range of questions allowed a measure of verification between measuring methods. In total participants answered 70 questions.

Given the short term of the study ( to 4 weeks)and the role of FX menopause, benefits in the physical functioning and role limitation due to physical functioning sections of the RAND36, were not considered significant and additionally, results under 14% were not considered significant.
