Bad tastes

Usually described as a metallic Taste (Dysgeusia is the medical term) which persists even when you're not eating.

This symptom of changing levels of oestrogen is more often noticed during pregnancy. Try reducing the metallic taste with acidic foods. Focus on sour flavours such as citrus juices, lemonade, and foods marinated in vinegar (pickles). These foods will reduce the metallic taste in your mouth and also increase saliva production, which will help wash it away. Another trick is to brush your tongue each time you brush your teeth, or rinse your mouth with a mild salt solution (a teaspoon of salt in eight ounces of water); this will neutralize pH levels in your mouth and reduce the taste.

Your sense of taste and your sense of smell are intimately connected, so hormone-related changes in your sense of smell may also lead to dysgeusia.
